Did You Know?

Archway has been providing services for youth since 1969.

“I would like to sincerely thank the Youth Resource Centre for all the love and support they have shown me through one of the most challenging times in my life. I am happier now than I have ever been and I know that I owe a good chunk of my happiness to the YRC.”
– Youth

“I felt hopeless and a complete failure as a parent and a human. We were given support immediately and even though all I did was constantly cry, people met us where we were at. Now we have a home, lots of services and people we can count on for support – or just to talk. Thank you!”
– Parent

“I’m calmer, listening to my child and hearing what he has to say.”
– Parent

“I’d still be homeless and screwed up on drugs if it wasn’t for you guys. You actually cared about me and showed me a different way. Now I have hope that I can actually make it on my own.”
– Youth

“If it hadn’t been for the YRC, I know I would have fallen through the cracks. Because of their help I was able to keep going. They took me to doctor’s appointments and gave me tons of advice on looking after myself, how to deal with relationships, and they really worked with me on my goals.”
– Youth

“I’m choosing what to argue about and what not and am better able to deal with hard situations.”
– Parent

“My experience with YRC has been nothing less than life changing for me. When referred to YRC our family was deep in crisis, with escalating risky adolescent behaviours, a severe lack of effective communication and a profound sense of hopelessness and despair. At the end of the program I can honestly say that I have a much better, and hopefully continually evolving understanding of my teen and myself.”
– Parent
